Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Great Bentley this morning.
Officers were called at 8.50am this morning with reports of a two vehicle collision on the A133 Colchester Road near Heckfords Farm Road.
It involved a white and turquoise Iveco box van and a blue Ford SportKA. The car driver, believed to be a young woman from the Colchester area, died from her injuries.
The road was closed while police carried out an initial investigation.
