A romantic man chose an unusual way to ask his girlfriend to marry him - he popped the question on a banner from the back of a plane.
Ben Palmer, 30, of Main Road, Dovercourt, pulled out all the stops to propose to girlfriend Katie Burrows.
Miss Burrows, 26, of Manor Lane, Dovercourt, saw the plane overhead on Sunday when the couple were at a golf club function.
"She burst into tears and fortunately for me said yes," said Mr Palmer.
