THE best of brass, with musicians from Harwich and the Netherlands, strikes up for a special night at the Princes Theatre on Saturday.
The Harwich Royal British Legion is returning to the Clacton venue for this concert and will be joined by musicians from Amoorsfoot.
Veluwe Brass Amersfoort was formed in 1975 as Brassband Veluwe Brass. In 2000, the band moved to Amersfoort, a large town in the Netherlands, and changed its name accordingly.
The band, as well as performing concerts, participates in contests and festivals in the Netherlands.
The band’s musical director is Kees Kramer, who has led Veluwe Brass Amersfoort since August, 2007. Kees conducts not only Veluwe Brass Amersfoort but also leads the Reunion Band of the Dutch Cavalry in Amersfoort and the Concert Band Crescendo of Baarn.
The concert starts at 7pm. Tickets are £8, and £7 for concessions.
