FIREFIGHTERS have praised two women who raised the alarm after spotting flames in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The women were driving along Ipswich Road when they spotted a fire and went to investigate.
The found a burning shed in Rouse Way, dialled 999 and woke up residents.
Two crews of firefighters were scrambled just before 3am and quickly doused the flames, preventing them spreading to the surrounding houses.
