THERE will be no appeal against the sentence imposed on the killer of former Brightlingsea schoolgirl Liberty Templeman.

The 15-year-old was murdered in New Zealand more than two years ago.

Her killer was recently sentenced to 11 years for her murder, and an additional six months for indecently assaulting her.

Libby's family launched a massive campaign calling for tougher justice, and the prosecutor submitted a request for an appeal to the Solicitor General.

He has now revealed he will not be appealing the sentence.
