SCHOOLS across Colchester have been affected by the Iceland volcano.
One Colchester school has ten teachers and 50 pupils stranded overseas as air travel is ruled out over Europe.
Hospital bosses say they are also missing staff but operations at North Essex hospitals have not been affected.
