POLICE have named the motorcyclist who died following a crash in West Bergholt.
Stephen Pitcher, 21, from Colchester was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Colchester Road.
Emergency services were called to the crash involving Mr Pitcher's black Kawasaki motor cycle and a silver Mazda 323 car, being driven by a 40-year-old woman from Dagenham, at 3pm on Sunday.
The woman was arrested but later released on police bail until July 12 while inquiries continue.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle immediately before is asked to contact Stanway road policing unit on 0300 333 4444.
