Doctor Who star David Tennant has visited Colchester to research his next role.
David will be putting aside the Tardis while he films a new project for the BBC - bringing him to the headquarters of brain injury charity Headway Essex.
He spent the day with staff and users of the centre in preparation for his role as a brain injury survivor in a 90-minute BBC1 drama, written by Tony Marchant, to be shown later this year.
He will play a building site manager who suffers a debilitating brain injury in a car crash.
