CHILDREN are taking responsibility for their own safety by shaming motorists who park on zig zags and yellow lines outside their school.
A team of pupils at Richmond Avenue Primary School in Shoebury are standing outside the school every morning and afternoon and shaking a banner at parents who try to park where they shouldn't.
In their first week, they scared away more than 30 drivers, and while they're out there the roads remain clear and safe to cross.
