A new marine directory has been launched by Maldon district council to promote one of the area's longest established industries.
Well known for its traditional sailing barges and bordered by the river estuaries of the Blackwater and Crouch, the Maldon district area has been a centre of marine business for many years.
Over fifty companies are included in the directory from traditional boat builders, chandlers and sail makers to the latest in multi-million marinas.
Launching the directory, Chis Quilter, Maldon council business development officer, said: "This sector specific directory recognises the unique concentration of marine businesses based here in the district by helping to promote over 50 chandlers, boat builders and much, much more."
