A FORMER Ford motor car model could have her brief career revived this year to mark the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Fiesta.

As a 21-year-old, Leslee Harrington modelled the Fiesta in 1976 with an exciting photoshoot at London's top tourist attractions.

With her blonde bombshell looks and contemporary bohemian fashionwear, Leslee was seen as the perfect girl to promote Ford's new model.

Leslee, of Chalkwell Avenue, Chalkwell, who now has three grandchildren, said: "I had forgotten about the photoshoot until I saw Nell McAndrew in a paper modelling next to a brand new Fiesta to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

"I thought 'oh my God, I've done that'.

Leslee had never seen the Ford photos, so she recently contacted the motor company and they managed to dig them out, which also re-awakened the car giant's interest in her.

She said: "I've been told I could be invited to exhibitions to help relaunch the Ford Focus and Fiesta. It's a bit of a mystery.

"I just hope they don't put me next to Nell McAndrew - she is beautiful and reminds me of Marilyn Monroe.
