CHINESE dragons and Arabian-style belly dancers were just some of the delights to be had at an arts and crafts day.
The family fun event was held at Centre Place, Prospect Close, Woodgrange Estate, Southend.
Each attraction had a different global theme highlighting the traditions and practices of people from all over the world including South American arts and crafts.
A spokeswoman for Estuary Housing project, which helped organise the event, said: "It was very well attended, both by children from the estate and the surrounding areas.
"There were some quite young children from about two years old, right the way up to 15 or 16.
"They were getting really involved in the craft workshops."
The event was organised by the Circles community project, Southend Adult Community College, Centre Place Youth Club and Allsorts Day Nursery.
