PLANS have been submitted to redevelop a well-known hotel into a a combination of flats, houses and a bar.
International planning consultants RPS have submitted the proposals for the Shoeburyness Hotel, which has been closed and boarded up since the previous operators left following a fire in the ground-floor kitchen.
The Victorian building was a focal point for the town in the days when the garrison was in full operation and hosted meetings of the local branch of the Royal Artillery Association until a few years ago.
