THERE were not quite the crowds queueing up to see indie band Morning Runner that turned up in droves to see McFly, but their name is expected to be on everyone's lips before too long.
Reported to be Coldplay's favourite indie band, Morning Runner played a half-hour set yesterday at Adrian's, in High Street, Wickford, and a crowd quickly assembled. The band members, made up of pianist Chris Wheatcroft, singer and guitarist Matthew Greener, drummer Ali Clewer and bassist Tom Derrett, were more than happy to hang around afterwards to sign copies of their new single, Burning Beaches.
