A pensioner has paid out thousands of pounds in a bid to stop a group of tearaways using her garden as a shortcut.

Doris Field has installed security lights, added barbed wire to her fences and painted her walls with anti-vandal paint in a bid to keep the trespassers out.
A police community support office has even stayed at Mrs Field's house in a bid to catch the culprits, but all to no avail.
Mrs Field, who is in her 80s, has spent £3,000 on security at her home in Golf Green Road, Jaywick, over the past three years.
But the lights, barbed wire and anti-vandal paint hasn't stopped the trespassers using the garden as a thoroughfare during the night to get to fields behind the houses.
