Danny Haynes has been ruled out for a month after suffering ankle ligament damage in Ipswich Town's 2-1 derby victory at Norwich.
The 18-year-old striker suffered the knock in the closing stages of Sunday's showdown at Carrow Road.
Scans have revealed a small tear and he now faces up to five weeks on the sidelines.
Gavin Williams is another non-starter for this weekend's home clash with Burnley.
The midfielder suffered an ankle injury and aggrevated an old knee problem against the Canaries. There is better news regarding Town striker Sam Parkin, though.
The former Swindon Town man has been out for four months with a broken ankle, but hopes to return to training next week.
