NATIONAL Lottery players in south Essex are being urged to check for old tickets - because a prize of £61,372 has gone unclaimed.
Five numbers selected by the Lotto draw on January 11 matched those on a ticket bought in the Basildon area.
Camelot, which runs the National Lottery, fears the ticket may go unclaimed and is reminding Lotto players in south Essex to search for forgotten tickets.
If the prize is not claimed by 5.30pm on July 10, the money - and the interest it will accumulate - will be given to good causes across the country.
A spokesman for the National Lottery said: "There is a lucky winner out there, they just don't know it. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed."
The winning Lotto numbers for the draw that night were 5, 6, 8, 19, 34, 38, and bonus ball, 11.
If you have the winning ticket, call National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
