Braintree TOWN have been charged by the Football Association following the abandonment of their Essex Senior Cup semi-final.
Their opponents Chelmsford City have also been charged for failing to ensure that its players, officials, employees and/or representatives refrained from violent, threatening or provocative behaviour.
Braintree midfielder Robbie Martin, along with Chelmsford boss Craig Edwards and City player Michael Haswell, have also been charged.
All parties have 14 days to respond to the charges, which were made on Tuesday following a combined investigation by the Football Association and Essex Football Association.
The decision will come as a blow to Braintree, who have protested their innocence ever since the incident.
The semi-final tie at Melbourne Park was abandoned last Monday midway through the second half, after fighting broke out between both sets of players.
