Lillian Chisnall said she has been looking forward to the summer months so she can ride her buggy along the coastline. The 89-year-old said it was one of the few pleasures left in her life.
Mrs Chisnall, of Donne Drive, Jaywick, said she was disgusted to learn Tendring Council was reviewing the use of motorised scooters along its cliff paths and seaside promenades.
"I think the idea of restricting buggies on the seafront is absolutely disgraceful," she said.
"We pay our taxes the same as everyone else and we have a right to use the seafront."
