A victim of con artists selling goods from the "back of a lorry" today warned others not to fall for the same scam.
A 44-year-old man, of Colchester, thought he was getting a bargain when he shelled out £100 for a plasma-screen television.
The father-of-three realised he had been fooled when he got home and discovered the top-of-the-range appliance had been stripped of its insides.
The man, who asked not to be named, was duped while at Tesco supermarket with his wife in The Hythe.
