The heartbroken family of a 21-year-old woman who died in a car crash have paid tribute to her.

Stacey Doyle, who lived in Browning Road, Maldon, and worked in Witham, had been driving towards Maldon on the Mundon Road on Sunday when her Vauxhall Corsa car was involved in an collision with a VW Golf car near Hook Farm.

Emergency services rushed to the incident, but she was confirmed dead at the scene.

Miss Doyle's family paid tribute to her, describing her as a "passionate rider and a very competent horsewoman" who had been riding since the age of six and had her own horse, Tarquin.

She was born in Middlesex but had spent most of her life in Maldon, attending St Francis' Primary School, in London Road, Maldon, and St John Payne School, Chelmsford.

She lived with her mum, Jo, and brother, Mark, and until recently she had worked as a fitter at Kwik Fit in Witham.
