A supernatural apple is being hailed as the lucky charm behind Colchester's United's record-winning streak.

Cautious bookies have slashed the odds on the U's winning promotion to just 2/5 after their nine-game run of victories. The U's are playing Scunthorpe tonight.
But one loyal fan believes there could be more to the run of success than just skillful play.
Supporter Simon Williams, of Little Clacton, was so happy to be cheering his heroes on to the first of their string of victories at Brentford on New Year's Eve, he forgot to eat the apple he had taken to the game.
Two more wins later, he discovered it still lurking in his bag.
Anxious not to break the spell, he then started packing up the fruit for every game.
"It is ridiculous really," Mr Williams said. "But I'm afraid if I don't bring it, they will lose."
