Phil Parkinson will be stressing to his players tonight that they have no time to rest on their laurels.

The ambitious U's boss told the Gazette: "We have two home matches in the next five days - against Bristol City tonight and Port Vale on Saturday - and I am looking to win both of them.

"Our outstanding run - 14 wins, two draws and just one defeat from the last 17 games - stands for nothing if we don't continue to build on it.

"Naturally we are very pleased to be where we are - fourth in the Coca-Cola League One table - but we've got to keep on moving.

"We can't stand still and take the pats on the back. I want to remind everybody that we still have half a season to go."

Victory against Bristol City and Port Vale will, however, carry the U's past Parkinson's first target.

He along with every other League One team boss has targeted 52 points for safety this season and a six-point haul at Layer Road will see the threat of relegation well and truly cast out for another year.
