Essex fast bowler Darren Gough has said he has no plans to retire from international cricket even though he was omitted from England's one-day squad for their forthcoming tour of India.

Gough believes he has one more World Cup in him and said he was disappointed to miss out on the tour, which starts in March.

He quit Test cricket three years ago, but played several times for England in One-day Internationals against Bangladesh and Australia in 2005.

However, the 35-year-old Yorkshireman ruled himself out of a tour to Pakistan before Christmas to spend time with his family, before becoming a star on the BBC TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

He said he felt he had more to offer for England and had hoped to be included in the squad for India, but the selectors decided to go for youth.
