A BOGUS gynaecologist who worked in south Essex hospitals should never have been allowed to work, the General Medical Council heard.
Henry Akpata lied on his CV saying that he was a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists . In fact he had failed the membership exam three times.
His CV helped him to get work as a locum in Southend Hospital and the Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals Trust.
Akpata, 62, claims his daughter helped him to write his CV and they made an honest mistake.
