RESIDENTS have reacted angrily to plans to put the biggest waste plant in south Essex on their doorstep.
More than 100 protestors packed into a public meeting called by the Northlands Park Neighbourhood Committee.
They claimed they had not been properly consulted about the planned waste management site in Courtauld Road, before county councillors voted through a 30-year lease for the plant in September.
Nearly every resident at the meeting in Briscoe Primary School Hall, Vange, raised their hand to say they had not received the Essex Matters consultation document sent out in July.
