Parents and relatives of youngsters at Little Finches Pre School have appealed for support.
Numbers at the nursery, which is held in Coppins Hall in Maldon Way, Clacton, have plummeted to eight per session.
If support is not forthcoming Friday morning sessions will have to axed.
Kerry Finch who runs the current nursery has appealed for outside help.
