Thurrock and East Thurrock United have been handed away draws in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

Thurrock will be away to Eastbourne Borough while Rocks travel to Ryman Division One side Tonbridge Angels.

Fleet were knocked out by Borough in last season's Conference South play-offs and drew 0-0 away with the Sussex side in the Conference South in August and will be looking to go one better this time round.

Boss Colin McBride said: "It's a hard one and one which I don't think either club would have wanted. But we know we can go there and win so we'll see."

Rocks have already met Kent side Angels once this season, beating them 3-2 in a pre-season friendly.

Angels are riding high in Division One of the Ryman League and will presetn Rocks with a tough test after saturday's 2-1 win against leyton in the last round.

That victory netted Rocks £2,000 in prizemoney and manager Lee Patterson remains optimistic that his side can clinck £3,000 in the next round and possible secure a money-spinning tie with one of non-League football's big sides.

He said: "It's not a bad draw. They are a decent side decent side but beatable."
