A MAN has been remanded in custody charged with abduction and grooming a child for sex after he went missing with a teenager he met on the internet.
Tony Jones, 39, of Fourth Walk, Canvey, appeared at Beverley Magistrates' Court, East Yorkshire, charged with two offences of meeting a girl under 16 after sexual grooming.
He is also charged with child abduction with intent to commit a sexual offence. Mr Jones will appear in court again on December 9.
The 15-year-old girl went missing from her home in Willerby, East Yorkshire, on Monday and was found safe and well in Clacton on Wednesday.
