A teenager had a finger cut off and another man suffered a stab wound in a fight in Walton.
Police received reports about the injuries after a disturbance outside Kino Amusements, in Prince's Esplanade, Walton.
Insp Paul Butcher, of Clacton police, said both victims were taken to Colchester General Hospital after the incident, which happened just before 1am on Saturday.
He said: "The one who was believed to have had his finger cut off is believed to have been taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for micro-surgery to his hand.
"The other was thought to have stab wounds to his stomach."
The man who suffered stab wounds was 24 years old. The teenager was believed to be 17 years old.
Residents living in Prince's Esplanade complained there have been problems in the area since earlier this year.
A 17-year-old man was arrested and released on police bail.
