YOUNGSTERS at a Wickford primary school are celebrating after £15,000 of new play equipment was installed in their school.
Parents, pupils and staff at North Crescent Primary have spent more than three years fundraising to gather the cash for the climbing frames and other playthings.
Headteacher Angela Savill said she started the fundraising drive after noticing her pupils did not have anything to keep them occupied during their lunch break.
The school and Friends of North Crescent Primary parents' group started raising money in 2002 - finally reaching their target earlier this year.
