Colchester-born world number one Colin Lloyd has not enjoyed his meetings with Phil Taylor this year - having lost his second successive final to him.
Having been resoundly beaten in the final of the Skybet Grand Prix in Dublin two weeks ago, Lloyd, nicknamed Jaws, suffered defeat at the hands of the 12-times World Champion Taylor again.
This time it came at the PDPA Players Championship event in Holland where Taylor sealed a 3-0 victory over his rival.
Taylor, who previously picked up the trophy in Blackpool, Wales and Ireland, was in awesome form to add a further 20 ranking points and £5,000 to his collection.
He defeated Dutch giant Raymond van Barneveld 3-1 in the semi-final, averaging 109.41, and went even better against Lloyd in the final.
Taylor averaged almost 111 and dropped just one leg to win a fourth final of the year against Lloyd.
