Schoolchildren celebrated the official opening of a new school extension - paid for by a generous former pupil.
Hands up - children enjoy the traditional street party. (45196-11)
The youngsters from Layer de la Haye Primary School marked the occasion yesterday.
The new building was donated by businessman Danny Watts, who funded and oversaw the project because he had fond memories of his childhood in the village and the time he spent there.
Mr Watts and his family were among those invited guests who joined in the celebrations.
It cost more than £500,000 and will give the school four new classrooms, library space, a food technology area and somewhere for group activities.
After a special assembly, a traditional street party was held in the playground.
