A plea is being made to education chiefs to change catchment boundaries so parents can send their children to their nearest school.
Parents have raised concerns that even though they live in Rivenhall, they are not included in the catchment area for Rivenhall Primary School, in Church Road.
The concerns come as Rickstones Road and Rectory Lane in Rivenhall are included in the catchment area for Elm Hall Primary School in Conrad Road.
Meetings have been held between the two schools' headteachers and Essex County Council representatives but a decision was made to keep the catchment area as it stands.
Parish councillors say they have had many letters and e-mails from concerned parents. The parish council has written to the county council asking for the decision to be re-examined.
