ORSETT'S Steve McAnally won the under-25 Essex Upminster Bowl with a two-round 141 total.
McAnally's performance at Upminster means that he wins the County order of merit.
Stockbrook Manor's Mark Downey took second place in the over-25 Upminster Trophy on countback.
The associate members Gilford Trophy at Ballards Gore saw Boyce Hill's Mo Shanks the most successful player in third place with 30 points off eight.
Special guest prize went to David Payne (Basildon) on 37.
Saturday will see the semi-finals and final of the Essex Match-Play Championship at Boyce Hill with players fighting for the Allan Lockwood Trophy.
Bernard Tucker (Langdon Hills) meets Perry Schuler (Toot Hill) and Thorpe Hall's Bill Preedy takes on Peter Duley (Colchester).
