Colchester United are planning a host of activities ahead of their match against Chesterfield.
The Coca-Cola League One game will be the club's first-ever family day on October 2.
There will be two live bands at the game, as well as a host of magicians, entertainers, jugglers, bouncy castles and five-a-side matches, as the club use all the space available to them around the ground.
Top of the bill - aside from the football - will be the special delivery of the match ball by the Army in a helicopter.
The event is getting the thumbs up from U's skipper Karl Duguid. Duguid, a father of two himself, is hoping the Colchester public will be right behind the day.
"I think this is a fantastic idea," he said. "Kids and their families are the supporters of the future and, if they enjoy it, they may well bring their own children in years to come.
"It will be great to see a big crowd for the visit of Chesterfield and the entertainment looks like it's going to be great fun."
