THEY'RE dead, they're angry and they are about to invade your television screens.

TrashHouse is the everyday story of a man who delights in killing people and, like other horror comedies, wouldn't be complete without a generous dollop of crazed zombies.

The low-budget film shot in Shoebury last year has become an unlikely cult hit and, against the odds, has won itself an international distribution deal for its DVD release. The living dead are not to be messed with.

By March next year, the feature-length film will be released in Britain, Canada and the US by Screen Entertainment, which specialises in cult films.

It is welcome news to Pat Higgins, who wrote, produced and directed the film. Mr Higgins, from Randolph Close, Leigh, said: "It's something we have been working on for a while. We think the film will be a cult favourite. People who like horror comedies will get a real kick out of it."
