A PACKAGE of measures designed to calm traffic and stop rat-running in roads near the new £20million David Lloyd leisure centre is being considered by councillors.
Traffic-calming measures, including speed humps, are being planned for the length of Snakes Lane, Eastwood.
The route has become a well-used cut-through route since the opening of the Tesco in Prince Avenue.
The main reason behind the decision to look at new road safety measures is a predicted increase in traffic when the new sports and racket centre opens in Snakes Lane in November.
