A one-man protest brought part of Manningtree to a standstill.

John Caldow decided to take on the might of the country's biggest supermarket chain Tesco because he was fed up with large lorries blocking the roadway outside his home.
He decided to take matters into his own hands.
Mr Caldow, of South Street, took a chair into the middle of the street, took out his newspaper and stayed put.
Traffic built up around the town as the stand-off lasted nearly three hours.
Tesco has now agreed to change its delivery route until it gets a smaller lorry.
Mr Caldow said: "I didn't want to cause all this fuss but I have to protect my property and family. "Buildings on the other three corners have all been hit. It's only a matter of time before it's mine."
Richard Anderson, corporate affairs manager for Tesco Express, said they had at first been unable to obtain a suitable small vehicle and, although they now had one, it had had to go abroad to have a tail-lift fitted. We should have it any time now. In the meatime, will deliver to the front."
