SOUTHEND department store Ravens, founded in 1897, has won an award for innovation.
Raven's proved its 21st century credentials by scooping the most innovative retailer of the year prize at the menswear industry's annual equivalent to the Oscar ceremony.
Neil Raven, owner of the Clifftown Road store, received the accolade at the annual gathering for the Independent Menswear awards, held at Whittlebury Hall, near Silverstone. The prize was presented by Eric Musgrave, editorial director of the fashion business weekly magazine, Drapers.
