HOMEOWNERS living in the shadow of Europe's largest traveller camp at Crays Hill have won their fight for a cut in council tax.
Eight residents in Oak Road, London Road and Crays Hill Road will pay a reduced charge to Basildon Council following successful appeals to the Valuation Office Agency.
They will also receive rebates dating back to January, 2003 when the site started to grow.
