Neighbourhood Watch held a crime awareness day in a Colchester community exactly one week after a man was fatally injured.

Members of the organisation spoke to residents and handed out safety leaflets in Hunwicke Road, Greenstead, yesterday.
Westley Odger died after receiving a wound to the neck at a cashpoint.
Colchester Neighbourhood Watch borough coordinator Carole Dennis said: "We wanted to reassure the community that something like this doesn't happen a lot."
Members handed out good neighbour and bogus caller leaflets to passers-by and also called on homes in the area. Police continued high-visibility patrols in the area in the wake of the death.
Brothers Mark and Andrew Fredericks appeared before Colchester magistrates yesterday charged with murder. The pair were remanded in custody until November.
