THE braces she wore as a child inspired Nina White to become the best dental nurse in the world.
Nina White, 26, of Bull Lane, Rayleigh, represented England at a ceremony in Paris and the result was a complete shock to the former FitzWimarc pupil.
She said: "I was in tears on stage and even people buying me champagne and congratulating me did not help it settle in."
Nina won British dental nurse of the year at the British Orthodontics Society's conference in Harrogate last year and went on to the Paris final.
