AFTER a brilliant start to the season, suddenly nothing's going right for Justin Edinburgh's Billericay.
Following their shock midweek FA Cup home replay defeat they suffered their second successive Ryman Premier setback at New Lodge when going down 2-0 against Walton and Hersham.
The visitors went close when Gary Haylock had an effort blocked on the line by impressive home defender Danny Kerrigan, but generally the scrappy first-half was instantly forgettable.
The second 45 minutes improved considerably and the visiting Swans took the lead when Billericay lost possession on the halfway line and Neil Lampton broke clear to score with a shot that goalkeeper Mel Capleton should have saved.
George Lay had a fierce shot tipped over by Nick Gindre in the Walton goal, but there was further agony for the majority of the 484-strong crowd when Town's Ricky Dobson misjudged a bouncing ball and allowed Mark Nwokeji to score the visiting side's second in spectacular style.
