On first inspection, beach cleaner, Jamie Cornes, thought it was just another bottle.

But then the sharp-eyed 28-year-old discovered a message inside sent by a ten-year-old 200 miles away.

Now, Jamie, who works for council cleaning firm Onyx, is going to get in touch.

Jamie of Standley Road, Walton, was cleaning up the resort's beach when he discovered a cola bottle which had been re-sealed.

The message had been sent by young Victoria Hand, who had been on holiday in the Isle of Wight when she launched it. The letter was dated August 19.

Victoria and her parents Ian and Pam, from Milton Keynes, had asked for anyone who found it to: "Send us a line."

Paul Barnes, who runs the Central Kiosk on the seafront, who was nearby, said he was: "Amazed."
