SOUTHEND United midfielder Luke Guttridge has revealed how a talk with Blues boss Steve Tilson helped him rediscover his very best form.
The former Cambridge United youngster was outstanding in the victory over Colchester last Monday after acting on his manager's advice.
And he is now hoping to catch the eye again this Sunday as the Shrimpers welcome Oldham Athletic to Roots Hall.
"I was a bit concerned by my early season form so I went to see the manager," said the 23-year-old.
"He told me to get on the ball and relax and that's what I've been doing. I've been much happier with my form in the last couple of games and that's the way I want to continue - starting with the match on Sunday."
But the ex-Torquay trainee is expecting a tough afternoon against a Latics side who he expects to have a big say in the promotion race.
"They made a lot of signings during the summer and bought in some really good players," said Guttridge.
"I really thought they would be up there all season and I'm a bit surprised they are where they are at the moment but it's going to be a tricky game for us and we will need to make sure we are at our best."
