FRESH from a stunning Bank Holiday weekend that saw them beat two of the Conference heavyweights, GRAYS will be looking to stretch their unbeaten start to six games tonight (Friday) when they visit a resurgent Forest Green Rovers.
The Gloucestershire side should have been relegated last term but earned a reprieve when Northwich Victoria failed to transfer their trading to a new company by an agreed deadline.
Since that stroke of luck, Rovers have turned full-time and have made a steady start to the new season, including a draw last time out at leaders Exeter.
A win would put Grays on top of the table. Dennis Oli is expected to come back into the team following a knock sustained against Hereford and Andy Sambrook could also return.
Because of England's match against Wales all of the borough's sides will be kicking off earlier than usual on Saturday with THURROCK the first to get underway at Ship Lane.
Colin McBride's men also had a productive Bank Holiday weekend and they will be hoping to continue their good form against Havant and Waterlooville (k/o noon), who themselves are on a three match unbeaten run.
EAST THURROCK will stage possibly the game of the day at Rookery Hill with AFC Wimbledon the visitors (k/o 1pm).
AFC - who have risen from the ashes of the previous Wimbledon following the club's move to Milton Keynes - are one of the biggest club's in non-league football and could bring well over 500 fans to Corringham.
The game itself promises to be an entertaining encounter as the unbeaten Dons take on ninth-placed and fast-improving Rocks.
On Tuesday Rocks travel to Harrow Borough for another testing encounter. Struggling AVELEY travel to Stamford (k/o 1pm) hoping to build on their FA Cup win over Kingsbury.
Millers have yet to win in the league this season but their cup win and last-minute equaliser against Chatham on Monday will have given them some much-needed confidence to take to Lincolnshire with them.
TILBURY are back in Essex Senior League action on Saturday when they host Bowers & Pitsea (k/o 12.30pm) and on Tuesday night they travel to Saffron Waldon in the Essex Senior Cup.
