Colchester United fans will see a new Greg Halford tomorrow, according to boss Phil Parkinson.
The U's manager has spoken out after fans criticised Halford's recent performances for the club.
The England Under-20 international recieved jeers and boos while warming down in front of the Colchester supporters in Monday's 3-1 defeat against Essex-rivals Southend United.
Parkinson, though, has asked fans to understand the utility-man's predicament and promises that they will see a renaissance from the youngster.
He said: "Greg has had an awful lot of speculation written about him.
"A lot of influences outside the club have said stuff and that is going to affect a young player. So much so, that I was very relieved when the transfer window closed.
"It means that Greg can just forget about it and get on with his game."
Halford has said that he has not been happy with his performances.
Parkinson, though, insisted that, after a one-to-one meeting with Halford, things would improve.
