BRAVE Jason Ryan is hoping it is third time lucky after surviving his second heart transplant.
Mr Ryan is now on his third heart after a viral condition at 15 and blocked arteries this year meant his only chance of survival was a new heart - and fast.
As time ticked away a 48 hour Europe-wide call was put out to find his first replacement and his second failed to work for ten minutes.
Mr Ryan, of Wykes Green, Basildon, classes himself as a lucky man and is appealing to people to register themselves as organ donors.
