PLANS to allow revellers to carry on clubbing until 6am have been submitted to Basildon Council.
The owners of Lava and Ignite on Festival Leisure Park, Basildon, want to extend opening hours until the small hours for special events and occasions.
Although the premises would stay open till 6am, alcohol would only be served till 4am.
The application letter submitted to Basildon Council by parent company Luminar claims the change will have little impact on nearby residents and will add to the venue's appeal.
It also maintains the extended hours would only come into play on rare occasions and have no plans at this time to extend normal opening hours to 6am permanently.
